I got shitty grades this semester, largely due to an awful trio of midterms I took the week after my breakup, when my life was absolute shit and I couldn’t focus on anything. Thankfully I did very well on my final exams, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the how terribly I did on everything in February. It’s in the past though, and I’m going to get back on Dean’s List next semester and stay there. I made that promise to myself, and I’ll be damned if I can’t keep it.

I’m feeling much better about my life in general nowadays.

I can’t over-exaggerate how much of an impact my decisions to stick with running and lifting have had on my self-confidence recently. I ran 6 miles again tonight, and I’m going to up it to 7 miles before the end of this weekend. Going weight training with Ryan tomorrow morning, and then playing tennis afterwards.. I’ve been trying to gain weight, and I’m to about 117, which is a lucky number (Master Chief, Spartan 117!) and a definite increase from what I weighed a few months ago. :P

I just feel so much more confident with myself and so much better equipped to be productive recently.

I’ve spent the past four years of my life viewing myself as pathetically small, and weak, and out of shape, and overall extremely unattractive. I’m sick of that nonsense, and I’m finally changing it.

Also I think I’m going to drive my entire family crazy because I’ve put up dozens and dozens of sticky notes on objects all around our house, labeling them with their Chinese characters / pronunciations as a study tool. :)

闹钟，贝壳，台灯，手表，相框，签名，冰箱，鸡蛋，黄油，to name a few of the words I learned today. :)

Got to see some old friends from high school yesterday
Finished Game of Thrones season one. Decided that I like Arya, Tyrion, and Baelish, and don’t care much for the other characters overall. Most everybody else is either totally irrational, or very hard to respect for other reasons. IMO there’s way too much nudity in the show. But the story is still entertaining, so I’ll keep watching.
